Graduation

Ryan is graduating from Preschool tomorrow. He is such a good boy (when he wants to be) & his teacher says he would be her valedictorian if she had one. He is so ready for Kindergarten & so excited about everything about it. From staying all day, to eating lunch there, to recess, to meeting new friends, he is ready!
Ryan is the 2nd from the left.
(These are pictures of pictures, sorry for the quality; the scanner wouldn't work.)

Soccer is coming to a close. Ryan's last game is Saturday. Hannah had her last game on Tuesday. That game was something to remember. Last Saturday, she was playing defender & kicked the ball so high & so hard that she sent the ball sailing into the other net on the other side of the field. Strong girl!!!
Pat told her that he would pay her $10 per goal to get her more interested in the action. Saturday was $10 in the bank. Well, Tuesday made us broke. She kept scoring, one after the other. When they called "Game!" we owed her $80 plus the $10 from Saturday. GEEZ!!! She was so proud & several parents told us she has turned out to be a great little soccer player.

We are so proud of her for sticking with it, even when she had to run to Mr. & Mrs. Mean several times. That's her in the middle in the front.

Surgery

Pat had shoulder surgery on April 23, 2009. His AC joint was giving him problems, so the doctor went in & cut a small piece of his collarbone so it wasn't touching his arm bone. Small surgery. Very painful. He is learning that you use your shoulder for everything.

That yellow spot on his chest is a bruise. Lovely. He will be in a sling for 3 weeks or so. He will be off for 4 - 6 weeks (please pray for me) & will have to do physical therapy before heading back to work. It's going to be a long month or so for all of us.

Granny & Isabella

I know these pictures are not good & very small, but I had to post them. We went to see Pat's Grandma tonight. On the way there, we passed Dairy Queen (her favorite) so we stopped & got her an ice cream cone. Isabella just LOVES Granny. She came right in & hugged Granny & proceeded to climb into the chair with her. She jabbered on & on to Granny while they were eating their ice cream together. So sweet!

46%

I have been feeling pretty good about myself for doing my part in saving some cash. Not in a saving account, but at the grocery store. I have been clipping the coupons for weeks now & get the weekly ad before I go to the store to do shopping. I TRY to only buy things that are on sale & usually there is something comparable if the brand I usually buy isn't on sale that week. I plan my meals around what is on sale. I try to use a coupons that I have clipped from the Sunday newspaper for things that are on sale.
BONUS SAVINGS!
On this receipt I spent $121.25, but saved & 103.98! That's right! $225.23 worth of groceries for $121.25! I didn't get a picture of my best savings. I spent $150, but saved $ 130.00. My goal is to save over 50%.
Every little bit helps!

Soccer Is Almost Over

Two games left.

He loves it. If it is played with a ball, he's in.

Sundays

Izzie crashes after church. She & Ryan were eating grilled cheese sandwiches when I saw her chewing with her eyes closed.
She loves him. And he doesn't mind.

This was the aftermath. Nice.

Get Your Groove On / Dizzy?

Izzie was dancing the other day & I had to get it captured. The quality isn't the greatest, but it's from my phone; it's the best I can do. Let me know if you are dizzy afterward. She never sits still.

Easter

A little late, like the rest of my life, but the Easter Bunny did make an appearance this weekend. He brought too much candy & too many movies. And the kids ate too much of it & were hot messes at church. They looked cute although Ryan refused to wear his vest. According to him, it made him too cold. OK. All in all, it was a good day!

More Random

Things in the Blair house have been crazy, but that's just how things are these days. Soccer, school, work, church, blah, blah, blah. It seems dishes take up more & more of my day to day life. The kids are growing up so fast & they say the funniest things ever.

Yes, there was water all over the floor. This happens daily.

Izzie & her baby. If she is bigger than it, she likes it.

Beast.

This boy is almost finished with Pre-school & will be going to Kindergarten in the fall. He is so ready. It's going to be much quieter around here & the Wii will get some much needed rest.

Hannah lost a tooth the other night, by accident. It was loose, but she was wiggling it, pushed it sideways, & it came out. On a side note: she went to the dentist the other day & she is missing a permanent tooth, so after she looses baby teeth (there are 2 fused together), only one will grow in. The dentist said we will have to watch it, but she will probably need braces to bridge the gap. Hannah said, "Yeah, that's what I was thinking." That's her West Virginia heritage for you.

Ryan's Preschool teacher, Miss Jody, or Teacher, as he calls her, made all of her kids a hat & matching stocking for Christmas (not to mention a ton of other stuff). I finally got around to getting him to wear it for about 3 seconds & snapping a picture. He wouldn't stand still, so the picture is blurry & sideways. At least it is documented.
