Mammaw & Pappaw Visit

My parents came from West Virginia & spent almost 2 weeks with our zoo. It was so nice to have the company & the extra hands & eyes! The first day they were here was Hannah's last soccer game. They lost, but those girls were huge compared to ours!

There was a playground right next to the field that kept Izzie & Ryan entertained.
Monkey

Yelling, "You're a poophead!" to some kid. Nice.

Pat & Ryan playing video games. Typical.

Give Miss H a set of markers or pens & some paper & she's good for a few hours. Miss Artsie Fartsie.

Sisters

We took the kids to Big Bounce; a huge room full of blow-up jumping houses & slides. They loved it.

A little steep for her. She was not pleased.

Hannah & her cousin Olivia

Never got any pictures of Ryan while we were there...he was all over the place.

Snack before dinner.

We took my parents to Fuddruckers. We love it there. The food is good, the kids actually eat, & they are semi-well-behaved.

Pappaw & Hannah & Ryan

Ryan & Lucas. Ryan hates having his picture taken. Obviously.

Beastie Girl

Hannah went to cake decorating activity. It was very pretty & very yummy.

Izzie singing to High School Musical...still her favorite movie.

Eating popcorn with Mammaw

Looking at pictures of herself. She will let you take one picture & then yells, "I see, I see!"

Izzie with Pappaw's hat

While they were here, we shopped for & had Christmas. The kids loved it.

Barbies & high-heeled shoes. Nothing better.

Wolverine claw. Not to be used as a weapon. We shall see.
"Rock on, Mom."

Dad & Pappaw taking toys out of the boxes & putting them together. Fun!

Izzie got 4 pairs of dress up shoes. She wears a pair for 5 minutes & then goes onto another pair. It's in the genes.

Ryan got a pirate ship with a huge octopus. Izzie found a new hat!

I took them to the airport to catch the plane & they missed the flight. Long story, but basically we got in the wrong line & didn't realize it until the plane was gone. Bummer. Haven't seen my Dad that mad in a long time. He doesn't get mad. Finally got them on a flight later that night & they had to stay in Denver over night. They got home the next evening safe & sound. We loved having them here & were sad to see them go.

I bet they were ready for some peace & quiet.

Here are the rules:
~open your first photo folder
~scroll down to the 10th picture (if there isn't a 10th picture, go to the next photo folder)
~post that photo & the story behind it on your blog
~tag five friends to do the same
This picture has a story.
This a pictue of Ryan's boots. His hunting boots...Rockies to be exact, passed down from his cousin, Blake. This was taken when he & Pat were going camping outside in a tent for the first time. That first time was ruined by the deer that tried to run into Pat's car & the rolling of it (blogged previously). Pat carried Ryan for a mile or so to some man's house because he was afraid Ry was hurt so he could use the phone. I bet he cussed those boots...they are heavy!

Halloween 2009

Halloween was fun & the kids got way too much candy! We started carving pumpkins almost a week before the day...the kids couldn't wait!
I love my barfing pumpkin!
Hannah's cat; she did it all herself

Ryan's bat; poked all the holes, but needed a little help with the saw

Ryan picked the Headless Horseman for me.

Caleb did Jack the Pumpkin King.

Izzie: Bronco Cheerleader, Hannah: Gabriela from High School Musical, Ryan: Anakin Skywalker, Lucas: Sleestack from Land of the Lost

Hannah's hair was sprayed black & her eyelashes were fabulous. She doesn't look 8.

Izzie's bag was a little big for her. I told her she had to say "trick-or-treat" so the people would give her candy. At first, she just stuck her hand in people's faces, waiting for the loot. She would say "thank you." Then she got the hang of it, but I kept reminding her, "Say trick-or-treat." I guess she got tired of me saying that. I would say, "Say trick-or-treat!" She would say, "I DID!" over & over. I guess she didn't realize it had to be repeated with each new candy-giver. Too funny!

In the car, on the way to Great-Grandma's house.

I didn't even get a picture of Ryan without the mask!
