1st 6 months of 2013

We have had a wild ride of a time for the first half of 2013. Pat had surgery again in December & went back into the hospital in January & April. He is on a gluten free diet & has started Humira shots to help with his Crohn's disease.

The kids have completed another school year & are another year older. Time really is flying.

Mmmmm. Funnel cake!

They really do love each other!

Izzie graduated from kindergarten. She loves school.

Ryan is now a Bear in Cub Scouts. He received 8 awards at his last pack meeting. He's a good boy when he wants to be.

Hannah in the dunk tank. She loved it.

Ryan skipped school to fish.

Hannah's last choir performance of the year. A little bittersweet. She wasn't so sure about choir this year, but she ending up liking it & loving her teacher, Mrs. Leath. Hannah had some trouble with mean girls this year & is transferring to another school in the fall. I hope she loves it there.

Izzie climbing a tree in great-grandma's backyard...seconds before she fell. She was fine.

At the river in Durango, Colorado.

During wrestling season, Ryan broke his finger, his collarbone, & his wrist. He wrestled in 1 tournament in which he took 3rd, with a broken finger. At the 2nd tournament in Blanding, Utah, his collarbone was broken in his first match. It was very painful, but he managed to tough it out. 4 weeks later he broke his wrist. He is so active, but after the 3rd broken bone in 3 months, we put strict limits on his activities. It almost killed him. He's good now.

Ryan turned 9 this year. This cake almost gave me a mental breakdown. His birthday just happened to be Great Grandma Blair's funeral. She is missed.

Izzie got an award for most improved writing.
