School's Out For Summa!!
It has been a long week for several reasons.
Pat thought he was going back to work on Monday June 1st, but his doctor has not lifted a 15 pound lifting restriction. Frito-Lay won't let him go back until he is 100%. He goes back to the doctor on June 8th & hopefully, for everyone's sake, he will go back the next day.
This is Hannah's general position now that school is out, right in front of the TV ( that blow up the other day, more on that later), after she has eaten chocolate ice cream. She is happy that she now has all the free time in the world to fight with her siblings.
A rare moment when they were getting along. Hannah is lucky that Ryan is so easy going. Hannah comes up with an idea & he usually goes along with it, even if it IS playing Barbies.
This little thing has been biting lately. She has left bruises on both H & R in the last week. Sometimes they are not nice to her, so she has to tell them she disagrees in some way.
Pat & Ryan were going to go camping overnight at a campsite by the river & fish. They headed out, got the tent set up, & started toward the store to pick some fishing supplies. They were driving down a dirt road, 25 mph, when a deer runs out in front of them. Pat swerves to miss the deer & they start sliding off the road into a ditch which flipped the car at least 2 times. Ryan only had a bump on his head. Pat didn't get off so lucky. He remembers having his eyes open & the car smashing his face into the dirt. Ouch. His face is bruised, along with his shoulders, arms, & a leg. He tried to call me, but the campground was in the middle of nowhere so he had to carry Ryan about a mile to call from a man's house for me to come & get him. He walked to the store where I picked him up. I drove back to see the car. There was a busted tired, a busted windshield & just basically major damage all over. I'm sure it is totalled, but we are waiting on the insurance company now.
After the car landed on it's tires, Pat kicked his door open & went to grab Ryan. He was standing up the back of the car with his head down. Pat was yelling, "RYAN! RYAN!" He thought he was hurt. Ryan looked at Pat & said, "You shouldn't have done that!" He always has the one-liners. He then proceeded to cry for his mommy.
Our TV went dim about 2 weeks ago. We had bought the extended service plan (thank goodness) & the repair place came to pick it up. They decided it couldn't be fixed so the manufacturer is going to replace it. They gave us a claim number & told us to go to the store & pick out a new TV. Great. This is good. We go get the old TV & go to the store. They haven't received the claim number yet in their system, but we can go ahead & pick one out. Great. This is getting annoying. We go pick one out. It's out of stock. They have to order it. Great. Won't be here until Sunday. Great. Pat is beyond mad about the whole thing at this point. I'm trying to put a positive spin on it. At least they are replacing it. They could have said "WHO CARES!" Now they are trying to screw us out a portion of the service plan, saying we have to pay for a whole new one when the one we bought hasn't expired yet. I have to talk to them about that when I pick up the TV. I'm going to bring my boxing gloves. This has been a CRAPPY week & I need to release some stress.
